Upgrade OpenText Content Server to 16.2

CHALLENGE

OpenText Content Server 10.5 was about to reach its end of lifecycle. 

Complex system with almost 2000 users and many different modules, processes & workflows and custom solutions. Multiple interfaces into other systems needed to be updated. The Content Server 10.5 is a validated document management system of our Life Science client.

PROJECT SCOPE

  • Upgrade Content Server 10.5 to 16.2, re-validate all running applications/processes and update of complete system lifecycle documents (evergreening).

  • Project Duration: 18 months; project size >4000 hrs.

SOLUTION

  • Rollout new OpenText Content Server version 16.2
    with database and storage copies to new instances

  • Update Xybion QMS module

  • Update AdLib rendition server and custom solutions

OUR ROLE

  • Overall Project Management

  • Responsible for Computer System Validation and complete update of system lifecycle documents like URS, FS, RA

    Design and coordination of Functional and User Test
